Resources for International Students: Know Your RightsMany graduate students studying in the US are currently facing a climate of uncertainty–especially members of our community who are international students. In an effort to acknowledge and help address some of those uncertainties, the Graduate Council has assembled a list of reliable resources that answer questions regarding immigration, higher education, and the rights of graduate students. Higher Ed Immigration Portal: This is a hub where impacted individuals can find information on immigrant and international student rights, legal help, and deportation defense. Helpful tabs include: know your rights, data information and protection resources, and information on protecting campus community members. ACLU Know Your Rights, Immigrants’ Rights: Curated by the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), this resource provides extensive information for a wide range of questions and circumstances–from documentation, to encounters with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers.
